My role was taking part in my short film, which include, recording and put the actors in positions, also to write scripts for what the actors should say. I play the role of he director so I had to do a large amount of shoot so that we could choose the best ones to use.  In addition, I had to do the settings on the camera and position the camera each time we move the camera. Therefore I film and edit the short clip.

 

My task was successful because, I managed to complete the film in the time that was actually given, but there was a lot of mistake been made where actors was out of position. Also we managed to complete the script that we made and follow what we planned to do. However one of the main characters didn’t dress up according to the script, which made her look a bit unprofessional.  Also another strength that everyone worked together and played an active part in the short film rather than complaining.  The task was successful because we managed our time really well and also we managed to complete shooting our clips that we wanted to shoot to complete our final piece of work.  The weakness was that we keep on going off task at times and start to do other things otherwise from the work like debating what’s right from what’s wrong and how the actors should be moving or position.  But over the task was a success since we managed to pull everything together in the end to create our final piece.

 

I learn how to position a camera properly also and how to record effectively. Also I have learn how to trim a clip and put it all together so that it flow smoothly through out. How to cut out a sound out of a clip. I have learned a lot of media skills in the process of making this short film for media. Before I was unable to use Adobe Premiere Pro now I can this programme and understand what I should be able to complete also I know how to make the characters move in slow motions and use clips from scratch to do a final piece. I also learn how to work with a group and listen to others and their opinion. Take on aboard others opinions to improve how am doing a particular task or overall.
